Nathaniel Babajide is an Energy Transition and
Sustainability Lecturer at the Aberdeen Business
School, Robert Gordon University, United Kingdom.
He bagged his M.Sc. (Oil and Gas Economics) and
PhD (Energy Economics) degrees from the University
of Dundee, UK. Nathaniel has taught applied
economics, management, and business-related
courses at higher institutions in the UK, including
Coventry University, University of Dundee, University
of Bolton, Glasgow University GIC, Sheffield
University International College, Regent College
London, as well as overseas. His research interests
include energy systems economics, management and
modelling, energy access improvement, policy and planning, and renewable energy
integration alongside environmental and climate change issues. Nathaniel has written
several peer-reviewed papers in reputable journals and textbooks. In addition, Nathaniel
provides consulting services to small enterprises, energy companies, environmental groups,
and governmental and non-governmental agencies on energy issues in developing
countries. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a global reviewer for
reputable academic journals.

Sylvia Croese is an urban sociologist and AssistantProfessor in the Department of Global and InternationalStudies at the University of California, Irvine, USA.Previously, she was a Senior Researcher at the SouthAfrican Research Chair in Spatial Analysis and CityPlanning at the School of Architecture and Planning of theUniversity of the Witwatersrand and Researcher with theAfrican Centre for Cities (ACC) at the University of CapeTown. She has conducted extensive research on urbanpolitics, policy and governance through the lens ofhousing, land, urban infrastructure and mobility, with afocus on Southern and Lusophone Africa. Shehas published widely on this work in major international journals, as well as three co-editedbooks: Refractions of the National, the Popular and the Global in African Cities (AfricanMinds, 2021), Reframing the Urban Challenge in Africa: Knowledge Co-production from theSouth (Routledge, 2021) and Localizing the Sustainable Development Goals in Africancities (Springer, 2022).

Peter Elias is an Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is the Team Lead, Lagos Urban Studies Group and the Co-Director Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development, University of Lagos. He is the Co-Chair of the CODATA-WDS Task Group on Citizen Science Data for the SDGs and the West African Coordinator of the CitSci Africa Association. Peter is a recipient of several grants from different organisations including Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UKRI Development and Innovation for Development in Africa; International Science Council, the NRF South Africa, UrbanBetter, Volvo Research and Educational Foundations, Global Disaster Preparedness Center, etc. He has researched extensively in urban mobility and access, urban resilience, sustainable development, citizen science data, participatory mapping of slums and informal settlements, sustainable urbanisation and climate change in Africa. He is the currently the Editor, Nigerian Journal of Business and Social Sciences, University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Temilade Sesan holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Nottingham, UK. Her research interrogates the social, political and cultural dimensions of sustainable development initiatives in the areas of energy, waste management, housing and urban infrastructure – particularly as they intersect with issues of gender and informality in the sub-Saharan African context. Temilade has received funding for her research from the African Research Universities Alliance, the International Network for Government Science Advice, the International Science Council, the Partnership for Economic Policy, UK Research and Innovation and the United States Agency for International Development. She has published extensively on pathways to co-creating inclusive urban development with marginalised groups in international peer-reviewed academic journals. She teaches postgraduate modules in qualitative research and writing and renewable energy policy at the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
